Where was that?
Mine was in town. Went past royal bank of scotland and got caught at end near cash generators.
Only got a producer too. but told me he could have give me thirty quid on the spot.

I hate that there. A bus driver blocked my brother in there. He was in the middle of delivering hot breakfasts and bus driver blocked him in then went and found a traffic warden.
Traffic warden said "don't do it again, cos if police catch you it's a thirty pound fine".

Police have plenty of evidence.
If she didn't write back she certainly WOULD get 3 points, as she has pleaded guilty (I hope she has anyway), then there is a chance this isa non endorsable offence. If I remember I'll check at work on Monday. Must say I've never had a prosecution of that offence before, so I don't know off-hand

Haven't read the whole thread, but just in case this hasn't already been mentioned, the police have 6 months in which to act.
If they fail to do so, they can't charge/convict.
It sounds like the 6 month period has been breached.

Cheers Tim
On the Summons it says "Contrary to sections 1 & 5 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and also to a Notts County Council Regulation Order..."
I'm going to advise her to deffo plead guilty but to also take with her a statement from her employer saying she needs motor vehicle to work etc.
She godda just prey for a hefty fine and no points otherwise she's shot!
If she does receive a further 3 pts taking her to 6 is the ban a MINIMUM 12 months or is it discressionary by Magistrates?
I think she'd be looking at further 3pts = 6pts total, I'd give her a 6 month ban. The bummer is having to re-take your test etc. She is a muppit!!
I'll soon be an expert on motoring offenses! Just completed my Drink Driver Rehabilitation Course today and my god, its incredible how little we know as drivers about drink and the law!! Learnt so much! Cheers for the advise

Date of offense = 03/06/06
Date summons received = 23/11/06
Date to attend court = 09/01/07
The Police have 'acted' before the 6 months is up, but hearing is after?

Nah Tomas, its when they send the summons, i.e initiate proceedings. They have done there bit in the six months.
The fact court list it out of the six months is not an issue, as they are a seperate thing to the police.
I shall call myself the random legal eagle LOL
BTW, does the summons have whats called a CJS offence code on it? Looking at the act its under the code would be RT84xxx, with xxx been 3 random numbers. It might be RR84xxx infact, for example, drink driving which comes under the Road Traffic Act 1988 is RT88010, or no insurance is RT88191.
If you tell me that code off the summons, I can deffo tell you if it is endorsable with points.
