let the engine warm up a bit. Makes the oil thinner and makes it easier to run out. Thats what i do anyway

yea, its best done after you've hade the engine running for a while 'cus the oil thins out and it means it'll flow outta all the lil gaps easier.

Also says in the Vauxhall manual that when checking the oil, the car should be at operating temperature, but leave it 2 minutes after turning off the ignition before checking.

i try for every 5,000
will rarely do more than 7k, just makes them rev a bit easier and i use engine flush and new filter every time, also stops stuff like egr valve getting crapped up making the car run like a bag of shite when cold
