better of just cable tieing a rag or sponge around your air feed

get a powertec, ive got one looks really nice under the bonnet and is a fair bit louder than most kits!

Everything a manufacturer does is a compromise to get the best mixture of economy and performance without scarificing one or the other too much. By fitting an induction kit you scarifice some of the economy.

BMC CDA look to be a good choice! I have a standard Pipercross IK and no Cold Air Feed 
Car seems to run ok and sounds nice...

K&N Apollo or BMC in my opinion both around £150+ and better than Pipercrss

what i would do is get a k and n or whatever and fit it as usual, then mod the air box so the filter will sit inside, drill the box and then mod the front of the box to fit a cold feed down to your bumper, this way your enclosed, it looks pretty standard and it sounds good
