What providers here provide push email?
Vodaphone provide a gimpy version of BlackBerry, but its normally the companies that provide push mail (cause they host their own mail servers) and just use GPRS or whatever to connect to the internet.

No UK networks (certainly not us) will be selling this... u buy from apple and then sort a contract i think!
Cingular are providing the us support and EDGE network but they do not have a presence in Europe

Apple will win, they have a virtual trademark over anthing called iX as they use the name and any1 else using it is 'virtually' infringing their trademark
IIRC

same reasons as you can have a fake website name (ie if you register www.ferrari.co.uk for no reason) it can be taken off u... iPhone was reagistered by the people cisco bought for no reason...

i dont see why there saying this will "revolutionise" mobile/phone/internet gadgets tbh, ive had phones for over 5 years that can do all the same things the iphone can.
Guess people just buy into media hype.

Yeah but the Ipod was never released until 2001 , Iphone was out in 2000 , Cisco have it , It proves that as Apple contacted them about using it and they went into talks , then Apple just decided to use it so Cisco may end up keeping it , Tbh i think its a chit name anyway.

It was registered as the company was in that technology space so it was something they would look to devlop. In the end it gout bought out so that company did not develop it but it was registered 100% legitimatly not as a 'screw' apple move. It was there before the whole iPod etc

I don't know why but I started clicking on the related links, thinking something soon is going to make me laugh very hard. There were a few 'Apple will never beat Nokia' type comments, but this one genuinely made me chuckle!

And despite all its short comings it was still easily the best phone ever released and completely changed how mobile phones looked, worked and behaved.
It took over two years for any other manufacturer to get even close to the same level of touch screen responsiveness.
Still have one acting as iPod in the car and it's still going strong.

I didn't get a touchscreen until quite late, when they were commonplace.
Glad I did tbh as my mate has some Chinese media player thing and it is by far the worst touchscreen i've ever used.
