TBH is anyone really suprised??? a 1.6 nova, vs a 106 gti?? i would of thought a cam'd and remapped 106 woud beat it, let alone tb's.

sounds to me like the 106 gti wasnt tryin to beat the nova he just sat along side him until the nova topped out.

i agree that every1 underestimates saxo vts' and the 106 gti and IMO it would still be close even with your mods even if the 106 didnt have the cams or TBS so he must have been messin with you.

i took the gsi badges off my XE corsa and now the amount of attention i get from boy racers in their 1.2\1.4 Novas and VTR drivers is unreal. I love takin the piss out of them lettin them stay within 1 car length upto 100mph before the big smile and wave

i had a little scare last nite, on slip road from a grey RS turbo, usually they can't touch me, but this one kept up, to a certain extent, then...........

Got to speak to him though, reckons his has got about 320 brake............looked about right, mint car too!!
Told him 'only 100 brake to go little boy'!!

then left, he was not chuffed!

You lot obviously haven't seen just how quick C16XE Novas are with a few bits.

IIRC, Robs old one was in the 14s on the 1/4 mile, with a standard engine, and more weight?

My current nova prob weighs about 75-100kgs lighter than my old nova and now has lexmaul and custom inlet tract

My old nova beat many C20XE Corsas at santa pod last year also.

i'd love to have a gor of a 1.6 16v nova. my mates got a 1.4 16v sport engine in his and i couldnt belive it
