dont you clean a car, polish it etc to make it look good so you get a good price for it?

yeah but alloys are another issue - chucking over 100 notes to refurb alloys will not get you another 100 notes for the car
Granted the overall appearence may look better but don't think its worth it personally
Plus to sell I would keep them to the original colour gold as thats what the car come with
I bought my car with alloys kerbed

I think when you're asking around £9k for a car, spending about £150 on it to make it look good isn't a bad idea

came with...
The car came from the garage with those aftermarket wheels refurbed/sprayed gold. They were, to the best of my knowledge, silver originally.

but it is true though...
If i went to see a number of cars.... around the same spec and price and one stood out as having grotty wheels i would NOT buy it over the others.
£100 is a pretty small fee for something that could make a sale

Definately worth it!!
Someone will say "it's not mint look at the condition of the wheels" may end up losing you £500 so spending £150 refurbing them is well worth it.. if your selling the origional gold wheels i'd definately go white.
