its close enough for me to be happy with, firefox is bloated, and is a pain in the ass on some sites (not that that is Firefox's fault) but id still rather not having the hassle
Edit: that blog is about a beta release of IE 7 i believe the full version DOES support FULL CSS and standards support

just been reading some articles that say early version wernt 100% compliant, but MS have worked on making the latest release 100% compliant

I'm not into the whole web dev thing that much so I don't know much about the standards and stuff.
One thing I do know in the real world though is that IE works.
Yes maybe firefox can display one site on the whole internet in a way that IE can't but I know that any site I actually want to go to IE will work.
Opera is still a technically better browser than firefox though, and so is IE7 now.
Until firefox can do soemthing ie can't its just one for the cool kids.

IE doesn't support transparent PNG's. They have been around for years. WHhy aren't they supported yet? It can't be difficult to introduce techniligy that isn't even new into a browser yet they still can't be arsed to do so, It's a pain in the cunt.

The first screenshot u do with a little icon in the quickstart toolbar (icons next to the start menu). It's called 3D something.
The third, you just mouse over the tabs in the toolbar..

i dont havethe 3d somthing icon, and when i move my mouse over then tab it just brings a normal tool tip up

Nah. OEM just affects how many times it can be installed, the features should be the same. Flip3d should also be turned on if Aero (the fancy transparent windows etc) is.

you will need a graphics card that supports aero and i think needs to be directx10 compatible before you will see any of the fancy transparent / 3d stuff

I use both firefox and IE6, firefox is so slow in comparisson and generally a pain in the arse. tabbed browsing actually annoys me.
