i can see more and more cars getting them, I will probably start to like them then as either i wont really notice them or they will start to grow on me, a few years ago i was the same about the way headlights are getting massive but now its not such a bad thing!

It's to do with the new NCAP saftey requirements effecting the designs of cars now mainly. Everything has set distances which means designers have to put in odd little touches to prevent the car looking too messed up...
