Total un-techy way of looking at it but...
Ps3 plays blu-ray, 360 doesn't. Need an add on for the 360 to play HD-DVD
360 has more games currently, bit obvious that one though. Its the games out in the future thats important though
PS3 is wireless out of the box. You need an add on for the 360?
Can't really comment on reliability of PS3 as its so new but the 360 seems to like red lights
The wireless controller thing on the PS3 is cool, no batteries needed
Costs more for the hard drive version of the 360
Roughly for a 360 with wireless, HD pack & the hard drive its not much of a differance money wise in comparison to the PS3 price
If you fancy the extra bits & bobs like the blu ray, wifi & all that jazz then its worth considering the PS3. Or if you just fancy having the latest console out, some people I know have bought one purely beause of this reason

To be fair I like my 360, its crashed a few times so I think it'll die soon but i'll get another one. I can't justify £400 on a games console when I only play it now and again. But yes once you have bought a 360, hd dvd, Quick charge kit and extra battery pack etc, wireless adaptor your well up to PS3 money.
360 is miles better though

Either way, you'll still get to laugh at the paupers in the PS2 section
I make them lie down in puddles so I can walk over them & not get my feet wet

all valid points but in regards to the games i have only been following the 360s future releases and they are nothing short of amazing. im sure the ps3 will have some good games for it at some point but ms do have alot more decent exclusives under its belt...for now anyway.

i could trade my 360 games into game to get enough cashback for maybe 2 ps3 games
yeah i think i will get another 360 this time, however if it happens again within the 12 months from getting my new one and the ps3 has some much better games under its belt then it might be a much harder choice to make
