Interested in these as the house I am moving to has these same types of buildings on the estate.

Is it freehold? And if so do the people who own the other garages pay ground rent to you?

These are commonly called coach houses....quite common around here, basically they make good use of the land available.

very unlikey to be freehold....

Mad set-up but also good considering you have no wall-to-wall neighbours and you live in a flat

Must be mad ownership with the garages, be good to buy them off your neighbours one day and convert (don't know if that'd be possible?)

No its lease hold £150 a year

its all magnolia painted.

i get to pick
kitchen units, tiles and flooring.
Bathroom tiles and flooring
Fitted bedroom suite
Whether to have a fire place or not
all internal carpets
Curtains or blinds


can't wait

i also get waher/dryer, dishwaher, fridge freezer, oven and hob, all light fittings

advantages - warranty, energy efficient, blank canvas etc etc

Disadvantages - cost more, seem to be getting smaller

Been looking at one of these which is a bit bigger than most 3 beds round by me and about £10k cheaper. About the same commute as now but just in the opposite direction.

it'll be worth it in the end, they always take longer than they say, lets just hope next door don't have a v8 TVR they want to put in the garage under you, that they leave ticking over at 6:30am in a morning!
