I think Racing Puma's Are Around that sort of price range too? Very Cool
Late 406 3.0V6 to be a bit different
Early Rx8's are surprisingly cheap on AT
Clio V6 sport 3.0 RWD
Celica VVTi
Lexus Is200 Pretty cool and different
Some pretty decent options there i think, Will add more later
Edit:
Pug 306 Cabriolet 2.0
Pug 206 Cabriolet 2.0 / 206 GTi
Toyota MR-S VVTI Convertable
Mini Cooper S
MG ZT-T 190
Mg Zs 2.5 V6 180 (2004 facelift)
MG ZR 160
MG TF 160 VVT * 2004/2005 plates?
mondeo ST220
Honda S2000 if you can find one a little cheap
Xsara VTS? quick and very cheap, I am stretching now lol
And finally if you had a little higher budget you could afford an Integra Type R DC5

Prefer the Elise looks wise TBH, but the VX220 is also good.

My mum's got an Astra SXi, I drive it quite a lot and like it, but that is in comparison with my Corsa GSi
I've never sat in an Astra GSi or coupe.
The main reason i'm keen is the fact that for £8500 I can get a low mileage 53 plate one, I can't think of any similar cars that I could get for that price at that age,

Yeah you could, I just dont think there exclusive enough, if im spending that sort of money I want to think ive bought something special that no one else has got!!
15 min drive pfft get something loony!!!
I bumped into an old workmate the other week there, last time I spoke to him he'd just taken delivery of a brand new Astra VXR, said to him still got the VXR John? Nup, too uninvolving for me, ive sold it (after 4 months) & bought a BMW M5

Impreza was bought for speed & Golfs a £400 project!!
My alfa & previous MR2 has a nicer looking better built interior than a GSi so shut your pie hole dickhead.
