Common little ploy by his agent to try and get other clubs who are thinking about going for him to make a move. Picking Arsenal probably because they know they have the least chance with them

I have been hoping we would get a deal like this and if its true i REALLY hope it happens. I think it will happen but i think we will get less than 17mill. Also seeing that the number 9 shirt is avalible with us does make me think it could happen.

 I was just about to start a thread about this then saw it in here.
What a load of shit this story is. Why would Barca get rid of one forward who can score for fun for them for another who will only score a similar amount AND pay £17m
If anything it will be a straight swap, but I personally think we'll still end up with Eto'o.

Eto recently...

my theory tho on what is going to happen.
Henry to barca with eto and some money coming our way.
reyes goes to athletico madrid and with the money we get for henry we take torres off of them
and we will sign ribery and possibly micka richards 
Arsenals signings and my predictions for the summer

Well they offered us £50m last summer for him, yes i know he is a year older now but Barca really want him, Eto is worth what....£25m? Say they give us £10m plus him for Henry thats still a combined total of £35m for Henry, so us waiting a season have lost £15m on Henry

The fact he has finished the season injured has taken the limelight off him completely, the fact arsenal are resigned to the fact he's going has halved his price imo.

Eto is worth the same as Henry IMO (within Spain anyway, not to Prem buyers) so I dont know why they would even think of offering money aswell.
If they do then Barcelona are as big a joke as Utd paying £18m for Carrick and 99% of Chelsea's signings.

I'd say Henry is by far the better player (by a country mile in fact) BUT... Eto'o has 5 years on him and thats what matters... any deal involving the two is much more likely to send money TO Barca, not from Barca IMO
