Are there any actual gains from the filter being out of the engine bay, since the FMIC will cool the air after the turbo anyway

What a dog eh? Well... THIS 'dog' of a tigra also melted 2 pistons just 7 days after PV. But as the owner is a dedicated to fk chap, the engine was out within hours, and within 48 hours it was rebuilt and running in again. He took it to Santa Pod last weekend and ran a 12.8@117mph @1bar of boost (will be running 2bar in the dry!).

Oh, AND IT QUALIFIED FOR THE VAUXHALL TOTB TEAM 2007!! Some people need to take off their max power blinkers, and accept the fact that just because a car isn't concourse/subtle/kitted/speedlines + gsi kit that that doesn't mean it's a dog.

You're fighting a loosing battle doing stuff like that with an air filter on a car with forced induction to be honest.

That exhaust manifold, as someone has already said was made up using cut and shut exhaust manifolds from other cars just to get it running and get it to PV (it was intended to run at PV but unfortunately wasn't run in properly).

The exhaust manifold has now been replaced for a bespoke jobbie made by the same chap that built the inlet/manifold on the B16NOB Nova Van

pipe from outletside of an external wastegate. sounds like a jet when it goes to atmosphere rather than back into the downpipe.

yeh that manifold scares me a bit.

and it cant be legal, to pass the mot cars arn't allowed to have anything protruding from the body of the car, hence why wheels are not allowed to stickout passed the arches
