Im quite sure the std cams would probably work "ok"

Use 20xe/Let injectors.

Std exhaust manifold im sure could be adapted to bolt a turbo on.
In a corsa, with the battery relocated, you could maybe look at using the standard inlet, as there straight runners, and might actually work quite well with a turbo.

Ask a engineering place if its safe to have the pistons skimmed to lower the CR, much less than £40.

Im sure you could knock an exhaust up yourself with a welder.

Ok, it seems slightly bodgy, but i assure you, it can easily be done for less than you think.

It can be done cheap, yes, but I don't agree that a cheap conversion will be reliable.

Standard inlet isn't pressure tested either, it might not handle the boost pressure.

Adapting the manifold wouldn't be an option as the standard item is cast, and it'd be a pain in the arse (if not impossible) to weld a flange on.

Exhaust, yes, you could do it yourself, but only if you can weld.

Skimming the pistons would be a disaster too IMO, as they're not all that thick crowned to begin with.

Adapting the manifold id say is an option, no welding.
Remove the downpipe and have some form of adaptor plate to fit a t2/t25 turbo, and bolt the plate to the standard downpipe threads..

Whether its reliable or not, theres only one way find out. Often you find engines that are just chucked together from a scrapy yard seem to never die, lol.

Has decent pistons and rods though.

I don't debate that a well built one will be good.

He does forged lower CR pistons for about £250.

You could probably keep the standard rods and rod bolts, as you wont need mega revs like a NA application.

Oh yes..

and a relocated oil filter or the heat from the turbo will split it. Forgot about that until i saw photos of this kit^

guy i know does turbo conversions on the 115bhp 2.0 8v to bring them to 200bhp using spacers and headgaskets to lower comp. everything in is around 1400. thats it done on the cheap and nasty budget but its proven reliable so far.

Most turbo engines share parts with a na version.

less power then a TB X16XE. I don't think so

this Saxo is running here in Portugal for 2 years and some track days with two headgaskets

http://rpm.planetaclix.pt/citroen/saxo/saxoturbo.htm

and it only has 210bhp with loads of torque. the gearbox is the original one too

If your worried about torque breaking the f15, change the clutch/fly and use a F20

I have a Full Turbo Kit for a 1.6 16v which came off a Astra.
It did run fine on Low boost but the owner got alittle excited (kept turning the boost up) and cooked it.

The kit was on a standard engine, it consits as :-

Turbo and Manifold
Pipe Work with Samco
Dump Valve
Oil Lines
5th Injector on a Presure Switch
Intercooler
Plus a few bits and bobs.....

Anyone Interested I will sell the kit for £300 (you will need to run a Astra Inlet system where the TB is ontop)

I know nothing more about the setup, i just got it as part of a deal i did......

On the 16xe's standard compression, i'd doubt you could run much boost AT all, probably why it cooked it.

Those two stage regs use the std 4 injectors, and just increase the pressure.

switches on when needed and sprays fuel into the inlet before it splits to 4 cylinders.
