i dont hate them .. i think they are good cars .... its the people with the blinkers that make me laugh .. my 106 this my 106 that ... id never own one tho lol ... unless it was somthing really special

205 1.9GTI would be quicker than a 106GTI surely?

nope. 1.9 is only 8v, 1.6 16v is a much revvier engine plus 20 years newer.

106 is slightly better in most aspects but the 205 is very close, a very good car for its age.
btw richard burns also said the 106 was even better so its not my blinkered opinion

I think people hate that they are involved in 99% of threads Ones started about 106GTi's are generally ok, unless there is 20 of them in one day

i wanted a 106 or 205 before i wanted a corsa. only one i like are GTIs though andi couldnt insure them

I own a 2.0 corsa but I have to say I would definately buy a 106 gti because IMHO they are good looking cars and pretty quick. I like them a lot.

4 of my mates run 106 gti,
I now almost hate them simply cus i get sick of reading about them on every thread on this site. They are good cars but flaward, but many peolpe cant see this
