Why does he want a 4x4 Nath? If he's actually going to do anything off road, the Freelander is going to be shit.

Again, guy at work uses his off road all the time (we're project managers on decent sized sites)..........4 wheel drive mud drifting is where its at

Freelander mpg isnt great for a diesel but alright for its size i suppose

He does about 80 miles a day and wants something big and comfortable for motorway cruising. I doubt it'd see any mud tbh. He's had all sorts of cars before but never a 4x4, so guess he wants to get it out the system.

ive worked it all out and you could in theory drive the rolls all year for the price of the freelander

For the Rolls

80 miles a day x 5 days = 400miles

400miles x 52 = 20,800 miles a year

say the rolls does 15mpg

20,800 / 15 = 1386.6 reccuring gallons

£4.26 pound a gallon x 1386.6 = £5906.90p in fuel

5906.9 + 4995 for the car = 10910.9

get the rolls imo

I've been using my old dears freelander for a few weeks, comfy and robust enough for her, i personally dislike driving it but it does everything she needs it for.
