mine was lowered 60 on 205 - 50 - 16 tyres and it didnt rub at all

raise your car to -40mm, it will look better and wont cock up the handling and wont rub

but really it shouldnt be scrubbing with 195/45/16's and lowered 80mil. ive had mine lower than that and it never caught at all without doing any arch mods or anything

Does seem strange how its scrubbing, I can understand on the front but not the back. I have the rear spring adjusters out on the rear so it must be around -80mm and can have 5up and still wont rub.
Are you using spacers or something

Get yourslef to a tyre garage and get your tracking and camber done.

ok will do,cant understand it,im not raising it,thts why i bought coilovers in the first place,50 mm looks crap,so not even thinking about 40,spent quite a lot of money on this car already and its really doin my head in now,

raised the front so it doesnt catch but the back still does,guna have a go at chopping the plastic sumtime this week,if it stops rainin

found out today tht it could be my tyres tht are too wide,they are 195's but stick out quite far from the edge of them rim,they are uniroyal tyres,any 1 else had this problem,??

Do what was already said and remove the plastic arch trims, grind off the bolts and stick the plastics back on with adhesive

Have you got front mudflaps ??? They'd be the only thing to rip off your arches

Im a tad concerned now!! As i thought you could lower as much as you want on et49 with no rubbing? Im fitting the speedlines next week on 195/40 tyres! and lowering 90mm on rear!! Hope i dont get this problem to!

mine scrubs on the front, i just ignore it but never had any on the rear
not sure what mines lowered by though

nah no mud flaps,its the front part of the plastic thts got pulled off

my mate had uniroyals on his corsa b with speedlines wen it was lowered 40mm and it scrubbed.changed his tyres and lowered it 60mm and it does nuthin so as soon as you said uniroyals i knew exactly y,apparently they have a signifcantly big tyre wall,as in the apparently taper out away from the alloy causin the scrubbing

yes, uniroyals do tend to rub a bit more than other tyres. id prefer uniroyals with a proper ride height than toyos and down stupidly low anyday.
