how did some cars over read, then same cars produce book figure, then some cars produce less than they did at a diffrent RR 6 months ago

feel free to explain, because you cant

fads car made slight over book figure, RR'd at same rollers, 6 months ago, produce 186 with fucked boost valve

Evo, made 382bhp at 1.7bar, made 360 something at 1.5 bar

stockers impreza, stock 250, rebuilt engne with exhaust system etc, 260bhp

blue impreza, RR'd at same rollers 1 year ago made 340bhp, today made 10bhp less running 0.2bar lower boost

james valver, was making 185bhp at the wheels at 6???k LAST NIGHT, made 232bhp at the fly at 7k today

were the rollers calibrated properly? plenty of other things can affect different runs also, changes in air pressure and temperature, tyre pressures, tyre width etc etc

results seem very scattered, you cant really argue that some of those results are a bit far fetched

does will94 have a raised rev limited, as that thing was screaming!!!

still cant believe the mantzel powerbox on made 9bhp quite disapointed, yet on the road its a totaly different animal since its been fitted

Exactly Warren, bhp figures are irrelevant in the real world, its just something to boast about in the pub.

no point, might as well start with the most powerful engine of the same type you can, the 1.6 has almost 20bhp more power and torque to start with

If its power you REEEEEALLY want, get a c20xe. Its more fun and challenging to tune the 1.4 though, 113bhp isnt at all a bad figure for a 1.4 when you think about it. TB'd 1.4 would be cool and different and probably outhandle alot of xe's and have the upper hand.
