Is the cat a threat to my daughter? i.e. Does it need to stay out for a week?

for some reason it reminds me of Nation Lampoon's: Christmas Vacation, where the dog is accidently left tied to the rear bumper of the car, only later for them to find the lead still attached but without a dog
Brett, perhaps you could do something similar? Cat + lead + tied to scooby.......

i personally would leave the shitting worms cat outside for the night and take the bastard thing down to the vets first thing.
You might need to get the house cleaned/bug sprayed etc And i wouldn't let your daughter near the furball either....

A roundworm called Toxocara cati can also affect people, but children are especially at risk. If a human eats the eggs, the worm larvae may migrate through the body, which can damage organs like the eye.

cats normally get tepe worm, was it flatish?
Im not sure on the implications to your baby. I wouldnt think you had to spray the house of anything.dont quote me but i think they need a host to breed. once the leave they die off.
Cat probably got it from eating mice.

its congnital as well, so depending on age of cat could recieve them from the mothers milk.
your cat will most prob also have fleas as fleas host on the tapeworm or otherway round. So if cat gor fleas likely to have tapeworm vice versa

Possibly

My friend Kate is a vet.
Kate says "shit, he really shouldn't let them touch him. They can dig into his skin and lay eggs. I'd get cat out of the house asap"
