Checked out the 1.7 CDTi Corsa C's? they're 100bhp too, and insurance may be kinder too you than on the clio (I always found them expensive - but this was years ago!).

As As Philly says hold out for a 100 will deffo be better and will hold its value better too.
Just got to sit on the Trader like an eager beaver
They seem to have gone up in value over summer which is a bit of a bummer though

4800 will get you a clean DCi 80 but be weary with remaps as mentioned before the gearboxes dont handle abuse or too much torque.
