yeh i did think that. if they have advertised something as being hd, then later they advertise the same model has being not hd then there is a mistake somewhere. but if i can prove that i bought the t.v when they were advertising the t.v as hd then they must do something due to false advertising

a device doesnt need a hdmi socket to be hd that wont hold sway.

1080i is considered "hd" this can be run through composite cable no hdmi needed.

ive been reading some law books as im bored and im sure you dont have a case, but ring them anyway and be polite something might come of it, very much doubt it though lol.

most likly they will just say you should have noticed within the first month.

i wouldnt waste time worrying about it tbh.

Is the only reason you want to take it back because it doesn't have whatever hd you are refering to in the catalogue anymore?

Defenitely doesn't need hdmi to have the hd ready label.

May need hdcp over dvi though.

What do you mean by hd though?

The tv supports hd resolutions as said on the 1st page.

I doubt you'll have full benefit of a ps3 on a 19" tv tbh.

it sounds like you didnt really research what you were buying tbh, a lot of hd tv's were advertised as hd without hdmi ports ect.

plus most cheaper lcd's wont run 1080p the ps3s full setting any way.

The only thing I think they may have to have is an input that can accept hdcp, i'm not sure on that though.

Everything else is fine though and won't affect your ps3.

Argos are usually good about it, I worked for them and they'll happily refund a 1k TV if you're going to buy another.
