haha, one result, we are top of our group ffs!! we weren't given a cats chance in hell of making it to euro 2008, but we are making a damn good acount of ourselves imo! beating france twice is a massive achievement.

FFS ive just worked it out. Italy CANNOT finish second...it's top or nothing at all  Italy need 9 points to qualify, 7 points isn't good enough (assuming france win all their games) unless scotland fuck up drmatically in their last games. despite what ross said in his text last night, scotland dont need 4 points to qualify, they can get 6 points and still fail to qualify....which means that the Scotland v Italy match on November 17th is going to be absolutly HUGE! more or less it will determain who qualifys, italy need a win, scotland will probably need a point assuming they win their other games....and also both teams and the outcome dependent on the france game, good for the jocks and wops if they lose, pressure if they win!

Bitter about what? your a population of 50 million we're a population of 5, it's the big country mentality a 'section' of England fans have that sticks in our throats at times.
Anyone with half a football brain knew we wouldn't get pumped 3 or 4 nil last night, there was every chance we would get beat and they did have chances but our tactics and organisation were immaculate.

I'll be honest, i don't think we can get 7 point from georgia away and Ukraine and Italy at home but we can only try. Shevchenko looked back to his brutal best from watching the highlights of the Italy game last night doesn't bode well.

He came off the bench and looked good as well, i've always been a fan of his anyway! Shevchenko could have scored 4 or 5 though including a 40 yard free kick that nearly snapped the crossbar in 2!

the passing it out the defence was one of the best bits for me, shows we are starting to play football rather than just punt it down the park, fair enough that still did happen at times but scotland showed great composure when playing it out from the back
puts us in a great position now although still a very hard road ahead

Think we will draw with Georgia away, beat Ukraine at home and draw with italy at home which more than likely won't be enough to see us through but what an effort so far...Not one person can say they thought after 9 games on our group we sit top...............

I just see you stuffing it up against Ukraine when the pressur ehits and I think with IOtaly needin g to beat you they will go all out

I dont think so? When was the last time England even beat a team as good as France? Especially on there own turf. To be honest England havent really got anything to shout about, they havent exactly been challenged in there group have they? Scotland proved how far we have came in the last few years, very strong team and defense is solid, proven last night when the French failed time and time again to even get into the box.
