EVO magazine had a long termer and they noted it last month. There's is a standard 197 but i'm sure it would be the same.

IF it was me i would have got the Megane F1 R26.

Yeah I have read lots of reviews on the r27 and the high reving engine seemed to be the thing they all commented on. I had a two hour test drive in the car and although it was noisier than the cooper in 6th gear- I cant say it really bothered me. I am quite looking forward to driving a high reving car- you always have to adapt your style to a new car - thats one of the fun things about changing your car imo.

I do like the r26 but the extra money took it just our of my price range-- I do also much prefer the styling on the r27.... I dont reckon there would be much between them round a track but the r26 is definately much more refined on a motorway.

Most of my driving is a and b roads and town centres though so the r27 just makes a bit more sense for my use

Arrrr right

After experiencing turbo's/turbo diesels and high revving cars IMO i prefer turbo's.High revving cars can get so frustrating when driven slow

You seem to have really done your homework though and seem happy so fair play to ya

Its a 197 with clio cup suspension, brembo brake kit, recaro interier, f1 graphics, wide arch, traction control, tinted windows and a limited run of 500 cars

Not going to touch the suspension mate- its perfect as it is and I trust renaultsport to do a better job than I could do. I will be looking at getting a full miltek exhaust system

List price is £17,295

I got mine brand new for £14,995 with metalic paint ..... you should be able to get them everywhere for this price soon because they need to shift them before the cup 197 comes out. Not bad because the seats, alloys, tints would cost 3k seperately on a normal 197. Also get air con as standard.

Sorry mate it's just that the suspension had been developed over years of research so 'slamming' it just sounded daft to me.And the graphics are pretty much to ditinguish it from a boggo 197.

Oh and the warrenty will be for 3 years so he would have a long wait

Im basically paying 1k for the cup suspension with it so I am certainly not paying out more to change it to something inferior

Agree with corsa Nut, i laughed also.

On the list of what more could you want, shed 200kg and add a 6th gear and its perfect.

Keep the graphics, keep it standard imho, invest in some paint protection film etc as its brand spanking new.

Good choice of car though from the new breed of hot hatches, prefer this to the 207 GTi and the abomination imho that is the new CTR.

high 6`s 0-60 140mph ish?

Its had a power hike over the 172/182 unfortunately its gained a lot of weight as well. Consumers want more comfort/refinement and safety features hence the extra KG`s.

They are - and all the power is near the red line ... you have to drive it accordingly or it would feel so slow....... The engine is designed to be ragged and that is certainly what I intend to do to it. It is going to be well different from driving the supercharged mini - you didnt really haveto think about what gear you were in to get some pace- it just went in any gear at any revs..... gonna be fun learning how to get the best out of the clio.
