Jr which one is this one?
I know there is one at southend airport that goes out for a taxi under its own power every now and again

the one plane i would love to see flying in the uk again is the lightning jet fighter

it cost 4m of lottery money to restore to do what exactly???? the money should have been spent on housing for polish migrants as usual

must admit is a craft! its just two rockets a pilot sat on top and some wings to aid stabilty!!

One of my Dads uncles used to work on the lightnings. Got pictures of him at Warton.  Only plane that could take off then stright vertical climb wasn't it? Can the typhoon do that now??

the Typhoon can take off and with full throttle (without Afetrburn/reheat) will reach Supersonic speeds if its climbs at a angle less than 60degrees from take off!! so i'm sure if needed with AB/RH it could perform a good vertical climb!

Vulcon was always one of my faves from southend airshow back in the day. Ive got the program from 1991 on my shelf, has some cool pics of it from the pics that one used to be XH558

Have you seen an SR71 in the flesh Jim? Theres one at duxford in the AAF hanger. Its fucking beautiful but theres one thing i noticed about it...
