My car Wouldnt touch a turbo corsa...

But imo would kill an xe corsa... after I found the xe corsa was a good match for my saxo..

my ibiza is 1119kg and 202.5 bhp before anyone goes mad...

the only advantage a corsa let would have is 100kgs or so lighter, so yeah it will be faster, but i really cant see it pulling away at great speed, the stats really all point towards it being fairly close

Steve its down the torque spread. Rob R has a Revo'd Ibiza with 212 bhp it was fairly nippy but lacked any pull higher up the rev range.

He now owns an Astra GSi and says how much quicker it is on the move and even as standard bar a Miltek Exhaust would have the remaped Ibiza through the gears.

Now LET Corsa has a credible torque spread and the way its delivered is like a sledge hammer. I have been in several Stock LETs (being around the corner from Lee Mitchell has many merits) and can say a stock LET will spank a Revo'd Ibiza hands down despite power to weigh assumptions you have made.

You say the Ibiza may be slower off the mark due to traction issue...what kind of land do you live in? Do you think its easy to launch a LET Corsa/Nova off the line regardless of diff? They both have traction issues but its clear the Corsa is quicker end of!

I am not saying the Corsa is the better car just clearly the quicker of the two.

Steve what I can't understand is your not a stupid person (except when you claimed a Leon Cupra had an external wastegate) but why on earth do you argue for the sake of it? Basically if its VAG, its supreme?

Especially when 2 Cupra owners admit it's slower than a LET Corsa.

blimey some people just love to hate me dont they

im quite happy to accept a let is quicker than a cupra, but looking at power to weight it shouldnt be massively quicker.

if it is, id like to genuinely know how and why

My astra gsi is remapped to 240bhp. with 270 l/b torque similar to an ibiza? ( ihvae no idea on ibiza's)

But my corsa was about seven parsecs faster than the astra, it could easily rip your spleen clean off

Me and a mate were round at his helping fit his B18 Turbo engine (Integra Type R engine). I have a slight incling that i may be a wee bitty nippy....

I used to always be round at his buying nova parts and genarally farting about causing havoc hehe.

My dad used to teach him lol

Yeah my cupras about 300bhp and ive managed a time of 13.7.
Standard corsa turbo would leave remapped ibiza for dead.

the ratio's of the f28 1-5 arent much different to an f20 really anyway. an f20 with a final drive from an f20 4x4 allegedly will accelerate quicker.
