Is that supposed to be a standard Corsa XE ?
I think they vary a lot... but generally they do 15.2-15.5's... and that's usually with exhaust + filter.
only some strange one's (with the car completely stripped) do 14's... that or they're tuned a bit.
14.8 time to beat boys..

If the car is stripped, then its hardly classed as strange

Think my old c16xe would beat my ibiza over 1/4 mile, but over 1/2 mile it was rinse it.

I agree with that, but its strange to call it strange
Was your 106 standard when you done your time?

I wasn't calling it strange for being stripped...
I was saying some are strange, and also stripped that have done amazingly good times.
For example Mike's off here.... and Sly_Sri's ... 14.4 when it's supposedly standard bar stripped / exhaust.
but then there's other's that struggle to get much better than 15.5's...
Fad / Willay's struggled to get under 15.1's
XE's vary a lot...

No. But I didn't write 'It does 14.8 Standard'
He wrote '[XE Corsa's] do 14.6-15.2 Standard'

Some of them are capable of that though. as you even said with fad/willay's.
And 15.3 isn't much far off, which is what my engine got in its last shell.

Yes but neither of them were standard.
AFAIK both were stripped / Fad's was bored (sp) out, both exhaust + filter etc.
I'm happy to admit that a Corsa XE will do 14.4-15.2's
But my argument is that he said they do those times standard. Which is bullshit.
Standard state of tune / unstripped - they do 15.2-15.5's.

Whatever, I'm past caring..

Not much you can do about exhaust as one has to be made up to fit, and same with the ind kit as it can be akward to fit a box, they hardly had anything to an n/a car.
I think someone needs to chill the feckle out

Paul, you do need to calm down dude.
On a note, my XE ran x3 15.2's at about 92-93mph. That was weighing 1 tonne.
When it was cold, the engine earth strap was 4 gauge amp cable (snapped on way up), it ran a 15.6 twice, didn't feel right, didn't run it again.
Fads was a 2049cc, but only ran a 15.1.
But i've seen standard XEs (standard is filter + exhaust as they are needed for conversion, plus they don't really do much anyway) do a 14.8.
More to the point, which is quicker mid revs, any gear, just accelerating. Torques where its at.
I aint getting into the 106 vs 2.0 corsa arguement, been done to death, and re-incarnated, and killed again many times before. Rather tedious now.
