People who make comments like this should stop and think for a moment. Not everyone buys cars outright in cash. You finance it, not many people have £25k to just buy a car with

I didn't read it. I got bored after reading about people telling him to buy a house.

Ah but thats what the S is for

5 sec's 0-60 & 170mph is FAST I dont care what anyone says!!

Agreed you could get something quicker but it wont look as good, have the street cred, presence of a porsche.

I'd rather put a deposit down on a house or pay off some bills or something!

25k is what i've put aside to spend on car. I've got enough coming in to pay for running costs, insurance etc. don't need to bank any of this amount. Currently renting a flat, not interested in putting the cash down as a depsosit on a place given the current house market conditions. plan is to get a car I really like, then sell that when I fell house prices have dipped sufficiently. A cayman is a VERY tempting option - hadn't really thought of stretching to one, but defo one to look at.

In my opinion, a silly move. And you sound very naive with the money.

25k is a substantial sum of money for a house, but its not really even going to give you a large deposit. House prices aren't going to tumble... just slow.
A 25k car is going to be worth what what you decide to use the money for something?18 - 12k? nice investment

but its your money, and i sound like my dad

Agreed, I highly, highly doubt prices are going to fall any decent amount, 10/20k on currently overprice properties, but not too much more.

I'd probably spend about £18k, and get something that'll be great fun and you can keep for quite a while.......not sure what that'd be though

I wouldnt go putting 25k into an E46 M3, prices will start to plummet in the next 6 months just like they did with the 36 when the 46 came out. The 911 is a good shout (my next car) as they don't lose money, running costs aren't too bad either. Your get a shabby 996 for that though, depends if you like the 993
