iv had my light come on a few times when going round a round about. and now has a lovely rattle when its cold

have you actually put any more oil in?
my old 1.4 used to tick on cold but it had the headgasket done twice and leaked oil

That could down to their being not enough oil in the sump or taking corners like a nutter, all the oil goes to one end of the sump and the pick up pipe makes a sad face.

Alex at least ask someone (rob?) to sort you out some oil, running it low on oil is only going to lead to walletache.

Not enough oil I think, very small oil patch left every now and again where I've parked so think I got a tiny leak, god knows where from though.
That's why I should do an oil change, I'll do it next week, payday

what a coincidence! I woke up this morning and the first thing that came to mind was "must check oil level" my car taps like a bastard almost all the time- even with plenty of oil

I check mine every 3 days
Got to love an oil burning car 
Hopefully getting new rings fitted next week though

Checked mine earlier and topped up the screenwash. Think i should do it once a week at least.

I think I've checked my oil about 3 times in the 2 years I've had the car. It's never lost a drop. Never had to top up coolant either.

Usually I'd be inclined to do the same thing but I've done that for the past 11,000 miles so guess it's time for a change. Especially as I do 2000 miles a month now

My family bus (Renault Scenic) has an idicator on the dash that says how much oil is in and that its 'ok'. Good idea in my books...for a French car!

did this and my 100&% none tapping 51k x14xe started tapping THIS ENGINE DOES BURN A FAIR BIT OF OIL!! even if running mint!
