Makes me think of my gran, she's 88 and just recently lost her mind and is in hospital, she'll never be able to come back home. She's always been there for us but now we've lost the wee granny we knew and loved, sometimes she doesn't even know who I am

My Grandad is like getting that now, he was diagnosed with Altzimers a couple of years ago, and whilst he's on medication to slow it down, there is no cure for it - his long term memory is still ok and he can remember things he was doing through the war and when he was a teenager but his short term memory is getting shorter and shorter by the day, he can still remember who most of the family are but a lot of that is because my Nana prompts him - for example - when I phone up to speak to them my Nana has to say that "It's Julian, you know - Diana's boy?" and that hurts me so much!
But the worst of it is that he doesn't know that anything is wrong as he has no recollection of things.

Heartbreaking stuff, it really is.

no i meant peopel listen to sad music sometimes cos they liek to feel a bit of pain i think, i know someone who will simply turn any sad song off the second they hear it and then find something happy

I purposely listen to sad songs that remind me of bad points in my life. It makes me stronger, same with songs that remind me of ex partners, i'll listen and it just reminds me of what bitches they were

Its so sad, she thinks I'm someone called Sadie but sometimes you've got to see the funny side of it, all weekend she kept bending down to pat the dog...................................... that doesn't exit!!!
