Yeah process... finally! lol

Didnt realise someone else was already selling them on here, not in the effort to start a mudslinging match but all i can say is mine will be made out of full stainless so there will be no corrosion worries whereas i'm not sure what the others are.

Pics will be available as soon as the first 3mm stainless is run

I'll keep you peepz well updated and appreciate your patience

Pretty sure this one would win

Probalby nothing in it but to bolt it up like the Mantzel one you have to put a slight kink in the box or block part of the throttle body.

Mine has the full throttle body bolted straight to the box and its seems to work well.

All this mild steel business whats a corsa made of? how long did it take before painted pannels started rusting?

Power difference shouldnt be different if i'm gonna be honest, at the end of the day its a hollow box so unless one style causes some form of strange swirl or turbulance in theory they should be the same.

Fair point on painted panels rusting, but if its not painted on the inside then the moisture will start to get at it. i've had a mild steel butterfly rust in my enlarged throttle body before so moisture obviously does get in in small amounts

Obviously, if its a damp day, the air is moist....

Just hook up the oil breather pipe to the inlet, wont rust then

Could work... i'd be wary of it only coating the inside at one end though. I'd jus rather have em stainless

Heya sorry for the delay, unfortunatly everything is happening at the same time (as per usual... MOT is up for renewal aswell lol)

A 1.2mm mild steel proto was cut, formed and welded up. tested the fitment on my car and it was spot on.

A 3mm mild steel (final) proto was cut 2day, aiming to form that and weld that up ASAP to check final fitment. This will be a working proto so i can see how she runs although i cant see there being any difference to the current mantzel.

Any adjustments will then be made if required then a run of 10 stainless inlet boxes should be made and will be powdercoated to order.

Greatly appreciate your persistance peepz, i kno this is taking way longer than originally suggested but it should pay off

Thanks again peepz, i'll keep you updated

The design is pretty much finalised so its just down to the final proto construction and testing, so it actually shouldnt be long now

Got any pictures of the basic shape? Also interested in this. Would it be possible if some paid before powdercoating, then being able to choose a colour?

yeah sure thing, they will all be made and then shot blasted & powdercoated to order meaning that you choose your colour as you order

at the moment though the only colours i can do are satin black, white, blue or yellow
