i haven't touched anything for a few months i'd say. this problem has been with me for about 3/4 weeks. not saying there is no relation as its possible but i really think its just alcohol.

i'll most probably be fine tomorrow once all the booze is out of my system.

It is most likely nothing,

Achohol is a posion, so I would hazard a guess that its just your body getting rid of the drink.

They will put you on a holter monitor for a few days to try and catch it, do an ecg, and most likely that is it.

It is most likely will not be AF, irregular heart beats can be NSTC, STC, VT, AT.

AF is a google answer as its always the worst condions never simple things.

They might do a stress test but it is not excerise related by the sounds, so no real point.

AF is Atrial fibrillation.
NSTC is Non-Sustained Ventricular Tachycardia
STC is Sustained Ventricular Tachycardia
VT is Ventricular Tachycardia
AT is Atrial Tachycardia

My answer was not from google just recalling pre-existing medical knowledge I have already and thus coinciding it with what the dude said was wrong symptom-wise with him etc

being the stupid fucker that i am i never turned up for my doctors apointment to get this checked out. thought i'd update this thread with what just happened to me. just went for a walk at work and got about half way through my department when my heart rate went rapid, then it stopped for a short time and then went back to normal. my face and hands are tingling and i'm short of breath. i feel like a need to lie down but i'm stuck here at work. thinking of going to a+e when i get my breath back.

Nope get your self to A+E as soon as, I'm sure your employer will understand, better than keeling over in work. Nothing worse than HSE sniffing around the workplace

Make sure you go mate, I have a friend who is 25 and has just found out he has a odd shaped heart, had to stop playing football and everything, he had an irregular heart beat that build up every so often. having a op on it soon to burn a valve or something, hes fine day to day, but started having palputations when play footy.

His is serious apparently, his heart gets confused until it bulds up to a point it just starts firing off at which he gets low levels of oxygen to his brain.

I have had similar problems with an irregular heart heart, i had a couple of ECG's and consultations, doctors said i have a trapped nerve in my chest and i either live with it, or have a needle put through my chest to kill off the nerve ending.... nice.

Decided to live with it and its fine most of the time, i get pain sometimes if i sit in an arkward position or if i put too much pressure on it

Dont fuck about, get it checkout out
