I still dont get the whole leave clues on the car forum thing.............I considered sucide once, I was the drunkest ive ever been before, done some silly things on what should have been a good weekend away, thought about throwing myself off the tyne bridge, walked up to it, had a look down..................then spied a kebab shop over the road, ordered a 16" tap o the range pizza & a kingsize doner kebab & soon forgot all about it. I was quite lucky tbh, that greek takeaway saved my life.

Seriously missing out some prior events thats pretty accurate account of what happened. I was steaming drunk, high on (insert chemicals here) fell out with my mates, blah blah lost in Newcastle & feeling pretty down. Scare the shit out of myself what could have happened if I didnt see the kebab shop. I was quite lucky tbh.

That was on my 21st Birthday....I ended up in hospital that night for being generally out the game.
Young, stupid, angry, i'll show them etc. I think alot of folk probably go through simmilar motions.

I think as you get older you realise where priorities lie, life isnt about you its about what you make of life. Ive had a lot of clarity the past couple years......everythings clear now & ive never been happier.
Still never been back to Newcastle right enough

Everyone has problem Eck - its how you deal with them that matters, the only person that can turn them around is yourself.
My problem was I was stuck in a rut, going round in the same circles, making some non too wise decisions & slowly going nowhere. Some major lifestyle changes were required.

The Tyne Bridge will display suicide warning signs for the first time in a groundbreaking new initiative by north east agencies.
Newcastle and Gateshead City Councils have joined forces with the Samaritans and the Suicide Task Force Group as the north east leads the way in delivering the Government’s suicide reduction strategy.
Permission has been granted for temporary signs to be attached to the Grade I listed structure from Wednesday December 19 and throughout January, the period during which most suicides occur nationally.
Strong evidence based research worldwide shows that signs encourage people with suicidal feeling to seek help. The major advantage of signs is that they are not method-specific: strategically placed and carefully worded messages have a chance to speak to all individuals contemplating suicide, whereas physical barriers only prevent those jumping.
A two-year evaluation of signs placed on the Mid Hudson Bridge in the USA showed that 30 of the 39 potential jumpers instead used a dedicated phone line for help, while over a three-year study in the New Forest in Hampshire, suicide rates dropped dramatically not just where signs were present, but throughout the county.
Inter-agency cooperation is vital in the identification and management of suicide hot spots, most of which nationwide are jumping sites, like the Clifton Suspension Bridge and Beachy Head cliffs.
Health and social care services recognise individuals who are at risk; police and emergency services attend incidents and are contact relatives; voluntary organizations such as the Samaritans provide 24hour-a-say counselling; local authorities are responsible for the management and maintenance of hot spots.
Peter Wightman, Group Manager for Traffic and Project Management for Newcastle City Council, said: “The installation of signs on key sites elsewhere in the UK and indeed beyond has proved to be hugely effective in reducing the incidence of suicides. We hope this project proves a valuable contribution to the efforts our partners are making to address this important issue.”
Councillor Peter Mole, Cabinet member for Adult Social and Health for Gateshead Council, said: "This is a simple but important initiative which, if it saves just one single life this Christmas, will have been worthwhile.
"Christmas is a time of joy for many, but it can also be a desperately upsetting and lonely time for some. Anything we can do to offer help to people who are at the absolute end of their tether - especially if it is something as simple as this - has to be worth doing."

Ironically that's my motto now We all have problems, its how we deal with them that defines us. And at the bridge thing! Maybe they should of just made a bigger sign for the kebab shop!
