I thought it was risk of the unit catching fire.

I'm not desperate to get it fixed, but obviously don't want to leave it too long either.

We'll see........

guys i ahve a 53 plate corsa C, would that need to be recalled???i aint sure if it has ABS, whats the bst way to find out?

Best thing to do is ring the number on the previous page.

Also might be worth updating details so they know you're the new owner.

I am the 3rd owner of my car. Their computer system still had the original owner. Obviously not connected to the DVLA or anything.

No, the guy I spoke to said it was their own records independant of the DVLA. Odd that my old registration said no keeper but the new registration wasn't even listed. Never mind.

Ring the number, only took me 20 seconds to get through - guy I spoke to was pretty helpful and quick to find if it was needed

The ABS doesn't fail, a few cars have caught fire from it.

They also do know what cars are possibly affected, this is why they have put the recall in place and are sending letters out
