This is why I opted out of a contract and went to a sim only deal. I now get 3000/3000 for £30 a month. They are all trying to get you to sign up to a shitty 18 month contract just so you get a free phone, whoopy doo, just buy your own phone and get a MUCH better deal for yourself. I used to get huge bills, £300+ a month as I use it a lot for work.

When I had a contract phone, I was the same and my bills were always around £200. As soon as I become single, they went down to £50

I don't know how people use their phones so much, I'm on pay as you go, and probably use about £10 a month, don't think I've ever put more than £20 on in a month
It's never been worth me getting a contract cos I'd barely use any of the minutes, and I rarely send more than 10 texts in a day, and most days I don't send a single text, and most of my phone calls last less than 30 seconds

I'm the same
My phone bills are just stupid. I tend to phone people when i'm stuck in traffic commuting. I'm on 1000 minuites and 500 texts and still run bills over £150 a month. Not too bothered about it at the minute as i'm not running up bills i can't afford to pay. I also can control the amount i spend unlike the cost of fuel That just pissed me right off!
