Aye, but compare that to 12,000rpm on my bike, and its very lame.

Amount of torque/revs, u'll be changing gear quicker than a tarts knickers coming off.

but with r-tronic, the gear changes are that much quicker your make time up

R-tronic? I see a manual stick shift?

Stupid new gearboxes and all their silly names. Keep it simple

Manual
Auto
Paddle.

The latter 2 being very girlish.

And also, i can clutchless shift, so that only takes as long as it does to bang down on the gear lever About 0.1 seconds. Beat that Audi

daimo this is not a suzuki bandit vs a GT car

R-tronic is an manual box, without a clutch, and servo change gear, and selected by a seqential movent (ie forwards and backwards on the lever)

He he, i was thinking that when i typed it actually.

Basically, I love the look of the car, I love the power, the torque, but its still a black smoke puffing hillbilly derv that sounds like a bag of rusty bolts being shaken. Just listen to those LeMans V12 Audis. Nasty nasty...

So its a like a senquential box, only that you move it still in the H pattern and not up/down.

Diesel is just another way until a better power source is disclosed. Its out there, the oil companies are stopping it though.

UNtil then, its still for vans, lorries (long distance stuff) and for tight people who drive cars.

Actually, I think dervs are better for a-b pootering about, work runs etc.. But fun they arn't, you need a petrol for that. It also smells nicer

So why don't they just call it a sequential box like it is? Another sales gimmick methinks.

Great thing to have, but whats the optional extra costs on that box opposed to the H pattern.

Steve, you get a shorp sharp burst of acceleration, then nothing.. Same as all dervs. I like progression my power in, not getting it in a large dollop between about 1000rpm, then pretty gutless there-after.

i would be interested to hear how this sounds, i mean its a 12 cylinder engine ok its a derv but still

those new beemer 6 pots sound pretty good in modded form, people keep forgetting you get alot more bang for your buck ok you can rev your clio to 7.5k but you actually have to push it that hard to get the power while ppl with dervs get the same power with less revs and less damage to their pockets

again though your car prob sounds decent while most dervs sound errr tractorish
