What a stupid decision, obviouslt gave in to the heart-made decision of the fans rather than going out and getting a decent manager.

Passion will only get you so far...his tactical shiteness will soon show through.

Hopefully because he seems to have been appointed with the heart instead of the head he will be given more time than most would which I think is what the club needs.
I think a lot will hinge on who comes in as his backroom

Maybe he will rotate his players every game and not win the league

He is the wrong manager for that, as he will come in and try to play great football right away as thats what a lot of your fans demand. He will fail at this and then things will go down hill quickly.

You needed someone who was going to come in with a set 3-4-5yr plan (much like Houller when he joined us) and that way wont be under pressure after not doing anything in 2 years.

I'm not sure if Keegan is the right decision as like Cosmopolitan said it does seem like the fans choice tbh. However, he is regarded as one of the all time greats in football and obviously has that persona/image/reputation IMO that gets respect and commands results, so hopefully Newcastle's season may improve and eventually qualify for Europe at some point in the future.

I must say I'm a tad dissapointed it wasn't Gordon Strachan, as I was looking forward to Mad Moe abdicating and becoming a Chelsea fan
