720p - is better than 1080i because the image is drawn twice and put together side by side so its faster and still good quality.
720i , 1080i - isnt as good because its interlaced, meaning that two images are drawn but stiched together line by line. So image 1 has line 1 and image 2 has line 2 and so on.
1080p is the best quality but not many things actually support true hd...yet.
its not interlaced its integrated
