tax cigarettes and alcohol more IMO, or make people buy a permit to buy booze if smokers have to.

i hate smoking, the smell of it makes me sick, but it's only fair to charge drinkers too.

all a waste of money anyway

ok so in an Ideal world

No1 would smoke or Drink and the country would be fucked

Because us smokers are scum, if we all gave up tomorrow the government would drop tax on cigarette's to get us started again, the NHS would suffer more cuts, road tax would rise, tax on petrol would rise

I can't see this working anyway, it's a bit like saying to crack addicts, oh hey, you've got to pay a tenner to get a card to allow you to buy more, kthnx.

That wouldn't work, neither will this, people would just pay it anyway.

Thats why it'll work so much better than needing one to drive. As if people are addicted they will be more willing to pay than if its something you arent addicted to such as driving.
