ive got a mk4 golf gt tdi 115bhp it goes alrite and its got 114,000 on the clock and still goin strong

i seen a golf on ebay the other day with 244,000 miles on the clock

UPDATE: Due to now trying to buy a house the spec has changed slightly.
Budget is now only £1k and am also probably only looking at a 1.6 at most. Will probably only be keeping the car for a year though as will be 25 next year so should see a nice drop in insurance

Currently thinking another Escort but insurance seems to be a bit more on them for some reason

Just had a quick look at the local dealers page and the options on there are a 1995 Mazda 323 1.5 120k or a 1997 Rover 214 68k

Anyone got any views on those 2?

Yes avoid the Rover if your on a budget, if the headgasket goes you will be forking out money...
