£14 is a hell of a difference

Deano you spend way too long working out fuel consumption and shit.
But in doing so I don't get hugely stressed about an increase of 30p every fill up.
If you don't look at fuel prices you don't either.

Found a receipt for one of my first fillups (stuffed it in my reciepts book as I got it at the same time as an MOT) and it was £36 - now it's just under £51.

May be you filled up the day before it changed?
tbh people could drive their cars a lot more economically and save as much as 1p on their fuel economy. The amount of drivers I still see flying down the motorways at 80mph is ridiculous. Simply sitting at 70mph will return better economy.

It's true though.
I'm just saying how the 3p decrease isn't actually a big deal. And if people were that worried, they should drive more sensibly.

If you don't sit and over analyse the economic benefits of driving more sensibly to save 1 pence then you're in

There's a glass ceiling on driving more sensibly to return economic benefits, 3p decrease is a big deal to me it's the first sign of a petrol price downturn in a market that has been steadily rising consistently for months and months.

Insurance is a joke, renewed mine yesterday, that's expensive.
My insurance per year is cheaper than one months petrol, now that's a fuckin joke mate.
People can buy slower cars ro get their insurance down. I can't get a car that's cheaper on fuel.

On average I fill up about 30 litres. Saving 3p/litre, that is only 90p every fill up.
Your like me mate
Guy at work was going on about this today like it was the greatest news ever until I pointed out that he'd only save about 60/70p every time he fills up, he got in a mood after that & went on ranting about the price again

I got better economy sat at 90mph once than I ever have sat at 70, don't ask me why but it happened
If I was bothered about petrol prices I'd probably calm my driving down a bit but I'm not so I'll continue to have my spirited drives every so often. Never makes a difference anyway
