But the 106 is a very very old car, I cannot understand how the Quikys/GTis and Rallyes hold value.

for the same reason nova gtes and gsis do. Have you seen the jamaican yellow sr on ebay at £2,500 (ish) and it must be an ancient car

Cat D = Fail when it comes to selling cars.

At the end of the day, you can only achieve the price someone is willing to pay.

People will open the advert read cat D and close the advert again. Hence to sell it, you have to price it to sell and bare in mind cat D.

Plus currently with credit crunch cars are not selling very well.

I'd BITE andrew's hand off on his offer of 3.2 k!

3.2 k for a Cat D car Result.

i love these cars and i sold a completely standard 1 which was a cat c fully repaired for 3k last year and the reason the 106 gti's hold so good value is because they stopped makeing them in early 2003 but i would say you should be good for 3.5k given the extras it has maybe 4k at a push if someone is willing to pay that

This is a 35k minter and something i'd only use to mess around with at the weekends.

However, i'd struggle to sell it on. I'd hand over 2.5k this weekend for sure!
