Nah, have a Manta, save it from the scrapyard and make it onto an awesome drag car, then everyone will say it's a waste
Don't bother with the Capri, they're clearly crap and it's fine to cut them up...

i'm sorry, i must pick you up on this
capri - far cooler
capri - more expensive
capri - better
manta's, as much as i've started to appreciate them, are not better than a capri at anything

It's true, they're not even better at rusting
I love a good Manta, but the Capri is a far better car, better engines, better suspension (so good that people use it as the first upgrade for every older Ford under the sun), better seats, better specs, better gearbox, better diff, everything is better.
Cutting up a good Capri would be a crime, cutting up a good Manta would be too, but cutting up a sheddy Manta and making into something better than a heavy, metal cube is definitely not.

It has to be done. Everytime you get to your car. Also don't forget to not open the door and climb in when the windows are down.

That's just what they made back then. The Rover's V8... wasn't one of them 150 BHP?

Yeah, but it was an engine designed in 1965 with 2 cylinders less.

aye the rover v8 was origionally a buick engine which was not heavy enough and old and shit enough so rover bought the design, and the americans settled with a cast iron 9000litre v23 that did 0.012 miles to the gallon....ahhhhh much better

IIRC, one of Rover's designers saw a prototype engine laying around in Buick's yard in America and thought 'hmm, interesting' then paid literally pennies for the design
