I've got mintex pads (no idea of code/name, got them cheap straight from factory ) and they work better from cold than when heated up, which I think is odd?
And I don't cook them beyond working either.

ive got 2 litre set up on my corsa with red dot discs and ferodo ds2500 and they work amazing, plenty good enough even braking from high speeds, never had them to fade even when the discs have been glowing. also consider ds3000, these tend to wear the discs much more but stop even better.

metro's use ap Lockheed and so does bmw f1 cars and ferrodo i use them on me astra better than the standard brakes i got with it ie stops up at 120 mph on a private road tested this loads of times
