the piston rings were worn on my engine and the ecu kept the engine going right upto the big ends going

you can drill your airbox as much as want the reason i said it was a bodge because you lot said mine was a bodge or i ucked it up

yeah maybe on bmws and mercs etc not old astras, and no it doesn't help your engine 'keep going' at all. All it does is changes ignition and fuelling for more MPG if you are a slow driver, if you are a fast driver it increases fuelling, more power less MPG. It also connects to the service indicator so if you drive faster the service interval decreases.
