nokia+touchscreen=fail.
Im afraid you cannot comment on this model as you have not used it yet.
i actually like it, but if the touchscreen is anything like the 5800 its a fail.

To bart mainly who slags S60, I have S60 on my E51 and it's not slow or clunky.
Just had a chance to have a look at it, I can confirm 100 million % that it will sell many more than the storm, just to get that out of the way.
I wouldn't mind a qwerty keyboard and a massive screen but still looks a bit too big for me

If anything Nokia have aimed this at the x1 etc. Diff kind of phone.
That said, they havent got anything to rival the 8mp phones!

Bet you any amount of money it wont outsell the Storm
Cosmo, thanks for proving me right re. size I think Nis' picture of it compared to the tall iPhone shows this also
THing with a Storm is, altho iirc its pretty much simialr size to iPhone, cos of the way its designed with the top half being smaller than the undernath (if that makes any sense?!), it seems a lot smaller than it is... it is a little heavy for my likign tho
Be keen to see a pic lined up against an X1 as it seems to me to be a near carbon copy!
Matt - no-one slates WiFi... I ahve a giggle about it but i also dont think its as improtant as people think unless they lvie int he sticks out of 3G coverage, end of the day yes its gonna be good inside your house if u have wifi and in certain free hotspots but my 3G works pretty much everywhere and is plenty fast emnough for waht I use a phone for I can tpersonally think of any especially big need for wifi ahea dof 3G (as said unless out of 3G coverage which is rare these days)

I have within the past couple of weeks found something that I use wifi on my phone for.
I found a podcat that i'm quite interested in (I know i'm way behind the times but never paid any attention before) I download them to my phone when i'm lying in bed, would take ages without wifi.

it wont outsell the storm
US figures alone will mean it wont outsell it
We wont release figures, why woudl we? RIM might release some figures and theyll be very high as weve had a ridiculous number go through the warehouse

put it this way mr karat, the storm has sold nearly double the amount of n96's.
believe me if you want too, if you dont, then fine.
end of the day, the handset has done immensely well, and my wage has been massive.
i will enjoy my christmas.

Your wage is linked to how well the Storm has done?
Or were you getting 0.01p for everytime you mentioned it on here, so therefore earned £10,000,000.

yes, every person involved in the handset, managers included, get a commision based on what the figures were.
not bad tbh.
as for the N97, well lets say 2 of the major networks have said no to it( an oxygen related company, and a fake tan company) and the other 2 big players, well one of them has just taken on the geeeeeeeee won, and that leaves only one really.
interesting

TBH I would be surprised if O2 and Orange have both said no to the N97.
