Sounds like the symptoms of a failing Idle Control Valve to me. Same thing happened on my mates 206, so could be that.

the idle seems to be fine thou! no sysmptoms there. it just seems like it doesnt want to pull in 2nd etc it seems realy down on power unless its being reved like f**k!!! but otherwise it runs perfect!! so im pretty much stumped!

this happened on my old crsa turned out the egr valve was clogged full of sh1t and it used to chug first thing in the morning then once it heat up it would be ok. it used to cut out wen the eml light came on then once i started it back up it would be fine. i cleaned the er valve out using brake cleaner breaks up the carbon which makes it easier to clean once i done this it ran brand new and never happened again
