To say something like a Focus RS wont be exciting when you drive a Corsa SXi is on par with saying cheryl Cole is ugly, when your burd is pat butcher!!

Go ahead, i payed 6k for my car in the knowledge that its got a reasonable spec for its price range and insurance bracket. £25K for a focus is extortionate considering what you could by for the same price.

Out of interest what would you get (brand new) for 25k that would excite you?

the RS might be exciting

Its based purely on figures

A remapped s3 is not that exciting at 270 BHP as it feels so numb etc

Just basing how exciting a car is on figures is a dangerous game

Need to drive one - But you would have test drives booked all year round the way you change your mind

Or is it for attention?

Don't drive an SXI

And for 25K you could have an Audi A3, A4 avant, A5, BMW series, Mercedes C class, Jaguar X type. Take your pick really.

You moan about the RS not being exciting but you would rather an A3, A4 or a middle of the road BMW? Give me a break.

Oh and it's a 1.4 16v Exclusiv.

Ground breaking suspension system, 300bhp, mountains of torque... The Rallye Sport badge is legendary for a reason

Ah yeah i forgot the RS badge iirc that does to handling what the type R badge did for BHP

Ultimately deep down it's just another high powered fwd hot hatch and i just can't get excited over them anymore. Don't do anything for me.

and thats your opinion to be fair

Depends what you want in a car. Everyone has different needs/desires etc hence why you get so many models

Focus isn't exciting, buy an X Type. Have the Christmas tipples come early?

I'm sure it will find a market, same as any other brand new car. They're bought by people who want to spec it up themselves, wait for it to be made just for them and be the first to drive it away.

I'm personally off that merry-go-round, preferring someone else to take the 50% hit on anything interesting in the first 18 months. Which is why my £25k would be going on three cars not one.

Go there with that budget and you won't come home with any old junk. I already talk too much about what I'm going to buy and I'm sure you're aware but they're not £25k and also not shit.

Stuck on vents for a start, the seats(wouldnt say they are chavvy but does nearly every car you see have to have them?) spoiler looks tacky and the wheels look like some sort of wheel made by TSW

People only say these things because they are jealous. STFU please. The RS looks fine, I applaud Ford for doing this and making it stand out.

Not everyone wants to drive around in an annoumous German turd.
