Yeah it takes a couple of days to get used to it but now I'm fine.
I am made up with mine. New purchases will be a large memory stick for loading programmes on to..then onto the NC10.
Question - If I use a Mac to drag a programme from a CD onto a memory stick and then use the memory stick to transfer the programme to the netbook will this cause a problem? I presume it wouldnt for programmes compatible with MAC and Windows, but what about a windows only programme?
I wouldnt be opening the programme on the MAC would simply be dragging it onto the memory stick.

I've just installed office.
Bought a External DVD re-writer from Staples for £50. Installed everything i've wanted... Will take it back tomorrow

Not sure mate, with 2gb ram I would see it having no problem.
I've installed 2003 professional though, just on the safe side.

Yeah really quick, only installed it last night, but did a profit margin gain chart on excel plus wrote a letter in word, it was fine!

Ive got Office 2007 runnin on mine with 1Gb and its running fine. 
Just went out and bought an o2 pay as you go mobile broadband dongle aswell 30 quid for the usb stick and just top it up whenever you want.

I wouldn't be too optimistic of running FM2009 on one of these, my Current Asus has a significantly better spec and struggles with this game

Just took the CD drive back, £50 refund, job done
