What did the Police make of your suspicions? I had a similar thing happen many years ago but by kicking not paint - over a girl as well wouldn't you know it - the guy accepted blame after a visit and ended up footing the £1600 bill.

Some of that should come off with a good load of cutting compound. Lucky you keep the paint in good order anyway which will help. Your mate at the bodyshop should help. G3 or even more coarse stuff.

Gutted for ya mate.

Have they been to visit? Co-incidence would be sufficient grounds for a visit in my opinion. It does sound very much like they are not really doing all that they could.

Unless you KNOW 100% who it is, you cant go around exacting vengeance - you will be the one who ends up in trouble. Yes its an awful thing to happen and I would hate it to happen to me, but need to keep your head!

Are you surprised Ian? A similar thing happened to me years ago, unless something is concrete, or can net them some wonga they just aren't interested. No fault of their own I guess, the government has a lot to answer for.

Phone back & say Hi, its ok you no longer need to investigate my trashed car, ive found the kid that done it & gave him his dues, & hes now locked in my boot en-rout to the docks for his 2nd beating & to get sized up for some concrete shoes, whats that officer......where am I right now?? Oh well im on the motorway, speeding & on the phone.

Then when 6 patrol cars turn up say ok you got me all that was lies, but anyway I thought you's said you were too busy, so at least its not just me thats making up lies!!

Then ' while your here, heres some evidence needing bagged & finger prints ran ' Thanks.

There was a story in the papers a few years ago that reminds me of colins last post

some fella found 5 lads in his garage one night on the rob, he locked them back in and called the police telling them the 5 lads were locked in and that if they came now they could arrest them and do them, they never came, he phoned them back and still they didnt come, the next time he rang saying that the lads were still there but could they also send a few ambulances though as he had shot them all, he said that within 10 mins 5 cars and an armed police van turned up I imagine he got very very bollocked for that
