I think that would only ever happen in my job if I took their offer and then gave them work automatically. All of the works they csarry out have been tendered for and compared with at least two other companies and any other works will go down the same road.

This is certainly beyond a perk. I wouldn't feel comfortable accepting it. It's a fantastic deal, no doubts about that but its crossing the line imo

The whole world is ran on back handers, you learn that very quickly when you're tendering for work, have the right product or service and all the certificates to back it up and are the cheapest and lose out on contracts because some other guy has given the purchasing director a week in Amsterdam.
Unfortunately the good guys do come last.

Would it be acceptable if I paid for it and got a discounted rate? I would probably feel better doing that tbh, and then if anyone asks I have paid for it so its just like taking a villa from anybody.

DId you know that back in the 70s British Airways offered free Short haul and massively discounted logn haul flights to every member of the probably 50 storng audit team!!! They were told to turn them down as it was too big a perk!

Because in theory Gus might be influence dinto giving these guys more work or at a better rate becuas ehe is perosnally benefitting from giving them work hence he has a personal bias toward them which is not in the best intrerests of the organisation that employs him and is, therefore, unethical
